Come and relax in our tranquil South Devon valley – unwind in one of our comfortable cottages with your own pretty garden – and take a walk round our imaginative nature trail. Our superb location means we are close to beautiful beaches and stunning coastal walks, Slapton village, and the attractive towns of Dartmouth, Totnes and Salcombe.

We can recommend many coast and country activities to our visitors including local walks, rock-pooling, surfing, golfing and fishing. We particularly recommend a car-free day and taking the walk from Dittiscombe to Slapton village (2 miles) where there are two child and dog-friendly pubs serving good local food. Within the village there is also the walk around Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, ideal for bird-watching, and a half-mile further on there is the beach at Slapton Sands and beautiful views of the bay and Start Point Lighthouse. We also provide our guests with a temporary membership to Dartmouth Golf & Country Club (5 miles) where there are 18 and 9-hole courses, a pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym.
Children will love the fresh air and freedom here at Dittiscombe. There is a play area set under the trees with a picnic table, swings, slide, climbing wall, sand pit, trampoline for the under 5s, and a living-willow wigwam to hide in. There is also a separate flat area for ball games.

From November to April we offer warm and cosy short breaks. Our cottages are perfect off-season with woodburners, spa baths and views of the rolling Devon hills from a cottage window. An ideal 3-night break away might include great coastal walks, excellent food in pubs and restaurants with menus offering local ingredients, and unique shopping in Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes.
